Deputy called complainant in reference to a missing person.  Missing had not been seen or heard from since 1/5/2026.  Ms. Garcia was entered into NCIC as missing.

Case #2026000150/ Fugitive from Justice/ 1/8/26

Assigned- Deputy B. Wilson

Entering- Corporal D. Moore

Location- Pacheco/ St Michaels

Arrested- Steven Perry (59 year old male/ Ventura CA)

Deputies received a hit from an LPR (license plate reader) affixed to an SFSO vehicle, in reference to the registered owner of the vehicle having a nationwide extradition warrant from California. Deputies contacted Steven, who was inside the vehicle, parked in a parking lot. He was arrested on the warrant and later booked at the SF ADC.

Location- Cerrillos/ Camino Consuelo

Arrested- Perry Hewlett (39 year old male/ Santa Fe)

Perry was recognized while sitting in a vehicle in a parking lot and contacted. He was found to have an outstanding warrant and was arrested. He was later booked into the SF ADC.

Arrested- Victor Vega-Nevares (40 year old male/ Santa Fe)

Victor was contacted during a traffic stop and found to have an outstanding warrant. He was arrested and later booked at the SF ADC.

Arrested- Raul Perez Vanchaik (40 year old male/ Espanola)

Raul was contacted during a traffic stop and found to have an outstanding warrant. He was arrested and later booked at the SF ADC.

Case #2026000142 // Receiving/Transferring a Stolen Motor Vehicle - 1/7/2026

Commander Entering: Sgt. A. Hancock 

Location: Casa Rufina

Arrested: Aaron Trujillo (37 YO)

Deputies responded to the area due to an individual observing a motorcycle that had been stolen. Deputies made contact, and were able to apprehend the individual who was on the bike. He was arrested and charged accordingly.

Arrested- Rossana Perez Marin (44 year old female/ Santa Fe)

Rossana was contacted during a traffic stop and found to have an outstanding warrant. She was arrested and later booked at the SF ADC.

Arrested- Brandon Baray (29 year old male/ Santa Fe)

Brandon was contacted by deputies during a traffic stop. He was found to have an outstanding warrant and was arrested. He was later booked at the SF ADC. 

Case #2026000128 / Warrant Service - 1/6/2026

Assigned: Deputy III D. Hernandez

Entering: Cpl. A. Currey

Location: US 84/285

Deputy initiated a traffic stop for an outstanding warrant on registered owner. Registered owner/driver was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe Adult Detention Center accordingly and without further incident.

Case#2026000118 / Unattended Death / 1-6-26

Location: Don Bernardo, Santa Fe NM 

Deceased: 63 YOF 

Deputies responded to the location after receiving a call for service. Upon arrival lifesaving procedures were administered but were unsuccessful. Deputies continued with the investigation and determined foul play was not suspected. The Office of the Medical Investigator and a funeral transport were requested to the scene.
