Arrested- Clairissa Tapia (31 year old female/ Santa Fe)
Deputies were contacted by security at the Maverik in reference to females putting merchandise into a backpack. Deputies contacted the females and they were both found to have outstanding warrants and were arrested. They were later booked at the SF ADC.
Case #2026002781/ Aggravated DUI, Failure to Maintain Lane/ 5/21/26

Location- NM 599/ Paseo Nopal
Arrested- Ian Laate (24 year old male/ Santa Fe)
A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle after it was observed failing to maintain its lane. Upon contact with the driver, signs of impairment were observed and he was arrested for DUI. He was transported to the SFSO where he provided breath samples of .17 / .18 BRAC. He was later booked at the SF ADC.

Location- Chabacanos Canyon (Lamy)
Arrested- Desirae Lozano (23 year old female/ Lamy)
Deputies were dispatched to a residence in Lamy in reference to a suspicious person walking around their property. Upon arrival, a deputy contacted Desirae Lozano, who had gotten her car stuck in a ditch. She admitted to drinking prior to driving and agreed to participate in SFST's. Signs of impairment were observed and Desirae was arrested for DUI. She was transported to the SFSO, where she provided breath samples of .15/ .16 BRAC. She was later booked at the SF ADC.
Case #2026002761/Burglary from a motor vehicle

Location: Mimosa Rd.
Deputies responded to the location in reference to a burglary from a motor vehicle. Contact was mede with victim who advised she had numerous documents meant for court which had been stolen out of her vehicle. Mikeline had no suspect information and advised no one knew of her plans to file a case with the court. There were no signs of forced entry into the vehicle. No further action taken.
2026002762 / Unattended Death / 5-21-26

Deceased: 84 YOF
Deputies responded to the location in reference to an unattended death. Upon arrival Deputies learned the decedent suffered from multiple medical conditions. Deputies continued to investigate and determined foul play was not suspected. The Office of the Medical Investigator was requested to the scene. The decedent was transported by a local funeral home.

Arrested- Tracy Romero (43 year old female/ Hernandez NM)
Tracy was contacted on a traffic stop and found to have an outstanding warrant for FTA on a DUI. She was arrested and later booked at the SF ADC.
Case #2026002747/Unattended Death/Assist Fire Department
Assigned: Deputy G. Perez
Entering: Cpl. A. Currrey
Location: CR 84
Victim: Dennis Valdez 64 YOM
Deputies responded to the location in reference to a structure fire. Deputies arrived at the location and noticed excessive black smoke coming from inside the residence. The Santa Fe County Fire Department arrived and entered the residence extinguishing the fire. While inside the residence fire fighters located the homeowner unresponsive. The homeowner was taken outside, where he was accessed by medical personnel. No signs of life were observed during the assessment. The Fire Marshal was contacted to conduct an investigation due to the circumstances. Deputies were informed the structure fire appeared to be accidental. OMI also responded to the scene and did not notice any signs of foul play.

Suspect: Steven Hamilton (44 YO)
Deputies responded to the jail in reference to a physical altercation that had taken place. Victim was transported to the hospital and treated for his injuries. Suspect was rebooked into SFADC under his new battery charge.

Arrested: David Trinidad (37 YO)
Contact was made with a subject who was found to have two active warrants for his arrest. Warrant was for failure to appear on charges of resisting/evading and the other for failure to appear for crossing at other than crosswalks. Subject was taken to the detention facility.
Case #2026-002726/ Driving on a Revoked License/Vehicles to be Registered

Location: Entrada La Cienega
On 5/19/26, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a 2006 Ford Ranger for an expired registration. The traffic stop yielded a DWI Related - Driving on a Revoked License violation on the 46-year-old driver, Adrian Montoya. Montoya was taken into custody and booked into the Santa Fe Adult Detention Center without further incident.
