Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehilce, during contact with the driver he was identified and had an active warrant for his arrest. The male was subsquently arrested and booked without incident.

Arrested: Darryl Estrada (23 YOM)

Deputies performed a traffic stop with a vehicle for an infraction. Signs of impairment were observed and SFSTs were conducted. It was determined Mr. Estrada was operating a motor vehicle while impaired. He was placed under arrest and booked accordingly.

Stolen: iPad, Apple Pen, Clothing, Charger, Headphones

On Wednesday, September 2, 2026, deputies made contact with a victim who advised during the nighttime hours of August 31, 2026, unknown suspect(s) gained unlawful entry into their vehicle and stole the above mentioned items. Suspect information is pending at this time, and this case remains under investigation.

Case #2026004635/Aggravated Driving while under the Influence/09-02-2026

Arrested: Miguel Garcia, 58 YOM

Additional Charges: Child Abuse, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Roadways Laned for Traffic

On Wednesday, September 2, 2026, deputies responded to the above area in reference to a hit and run crash. The victim provided a description of the suspect vehicle and a Public Service Aide later located the suspect vehicle pulling into the Turquoise Trail Elementary School. Deputies made contact with the above suspect and he displayed signs of impairment. SFSTs were administered and he was later placed under arrest. The suspect was read the NM Implied Consent Advisory, and he agreed to chemical testing. The suspect later provide breath samples which showed he was above the legal limit. He was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

Location: NM 599/NM 14, Santa Fe, NM

Arrested: Helder Pimnetel, 42 YOM

On Wednesday, September 2, 2026, deputies responded to the above are in reference to a welfare check on an individual. The individual was located in the above area. He displayed signs of impairment and SFSTs were administered. He was placed under arrest and was read the NM Implied Consent Advisory, and he agreed to chemical testing. He provided breath samples that were above the legal limit. He was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

Arrested: Zambrano-Ramirez, Esau, 27 YO

Deputies recognized as subject who had an active warrant for his arrest. After confirming the warrant, Esau was placed under arrest, transported and booked into Santa Fe County Jail without incident. 

Case #2026004602 - Burglary, Criminal Damage to Property - 9/1/26

Location: 27400 Interstate 25 E. Frontage Rd

Deputies responded to the location and made contact with the busniess owner advising unknown suspect(s) made entry to a work van and stole multiple tools. There is no suspect information at this time.

Location: Tierra Drve Santa Fe, NM

Arrested: 42 YOM, Anthony Berrios 

Agents observed wanted subject while patrolling. After confirming his warrant, Berrios was placed under arrest, transported and booked into Santa Fe County Jail without incident.

Location: Bosquecillo

Deputies responded to the location in reference to a breaking and entering. Deputies learned that some time around 12:34 AM. Unknown suspects gained entry into the victim's vehicle. After entering the vehicle the suspects were alarmed by something and fled the area on foot. This case remains under active investigation. Anyone with suspect information is asked to contact the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded to the location and made contact with the victim. Who stated unknown suspects gained entry into his vehicle and stole approximately $20,000 worth of items from inside.
