Victim reported that sometime between 10:00 p.m. on 3-22-10 and 7:30 a.m. today an unknown person(s) entered onto his property and stole several power tools from the beds and utility cabinets of two of his work trucks. No further information is available at this time.

Victim: Manuel A. Saens-Compos, 33, Santa Fe
On 3-23-2010, at 1:36 AM the suspect was walking at the location when he was approached by the two suspects who were asking for money. When the victim stated that he did not have any the suspects grabbed him, searched him and took $475.00 in US Currency from him. The suspect who was the driver of the vehicle then stabbed the victim in the stomach with an unknown object and both suspects fled the area in the vehicle. The victim was treated at Christus Saint Vincent Regional Medical Center for a minor injury and released. A check with the New Mexico Crime Information Center revealed that there was an active Arrest Warrant for the victim issued by the Curry County Magistrate Court and another Arrest Warrant issued by the Santa Fe County Magistrate Court.

Deputies responded to a welfare check of an elderly male. Upon arrival they found the male deceased. He had an extensive medical history and there were no signs of foul play.

Stolen: Phillips 42" Flatscreen TV, value $1000.00
Victim reported that on this date sometime between 7:30am and 4:40pm some unknown person unlawfully entered his residence and stole his flat screen TV. Forced entry was made through the back door of the residence. This incident is currently under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.

Arrested: Fred Lopez - age 39, Santa Fe, NM
On 3-21-10, at about 10:52pm, dispatch received a call from a citizen, reporting a reckless driver. Deputies located the vehicle at the above location and stopped the vehicle for failing to maintain its lane. Contact with the driver was made and he exhibited several signs of impairment. He was placed under arrest and he submitted to a breath test - results .21 and .21. The driver was booked into ADC accordingly.

Frank Ybarra was arrested for DWI after he was found to be intoxicated and in control of his 1992 Ford pick-up. Upon arrest it was discovered he was in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and a loaded firearm. His bac. .08 or greater. He was booked accordingly.

On this date deputies were dispatched to the above address in reference to a death investigation of an elderly male. Upon preliminary investigation death appears to be of natural causes there were no signs of foul play at the scene.

On the above date, officers were dispatched to the Shell Convienent store regarding a male subject who had left the store without paying for two 30 packs of beer. Officer continued to search the area for the suspect who was later located on Alle Lazo Erante. The beer was located in plain view and the suspect was arrested.
