On 10/8/09 victim advised after coming home at about 2030 hours he noticed his Vizio 37" TV missing. He stated that he looked around and also noticed misc. jewelry missing. On 10/07/09 victim reported she was contacted by section 8 housing advising her she needed to show proof that she was receiving income from Wendy's restaurant. Victim tracked down unknown suspect's place of employment and learned an unknown female worked receiving income between 3/12 - 4/14/09 by using victim's social security number.

Charged: Aggravated Battery with a deadly weapon
On 10/7/09 Jail personnel reported that an inmate had been battered by another inmate. Suspect asked another inmate to step out of the shower area while cleaning. Suspect then attacked victim with a broom stick striking him multiple times. Victim sustained numerous injuries before being separated by jail officers. Suspect was rebooked on above charges and refused to give statement.

On the above date deputies responded to a domestic dispute at the above location. During the investigation the suspect was found to be in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. He was placed under arrest and booked on the above charges.

On the above date at approximately 8:00am the suspect got upset with his mother because she woke him up to go to school. An arguement insued and the suspect threatened his mother with a knife and threw a drinking glass at her. The suspect fled the area before the officers arrival.

Arrested: Joshua Lawler 21yoa DWI/Cassandra Smyth 20yoa Arrest Warrant
On the above date, the above named officer was dispatched to the above location regarding a hit and run private property motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival officer made contact with the complainant who advised that Mr. Lawler lost control of his vehicle while rounding a curve and struck her vehicle, which was parked inside her garage. Mr. Lawler had signs if impairment, failed field test and admitted to drinking. He was arrested. Upon running a check on Ms. Smyth, Mr. Lawler's passenger, she returned with an active arrest warrrant out of the Santa Fe City Municipal court. She too was arrested. Inside the tote bag was a wallet, $35, a New Jersey driver's license, social security card, misc. credit cards. Suspects made approximately 4 attempts on the credit cards to purchase items. Estimated value of items taken is pending. Estimated damage amount is pending.

Victim believes suspect may be her ex-boyfriend. Victim left Hobbs and arrived at her residence and confirmed that her house was broken into. Items taken from within are DVD''s, a stereo, photos, misc. tools, keys, and a TV. Estimated value of items taken is pending.
