Deputies responded to the location in reference to a fraud. The victim advised she received a call from a male claiming to be a Lieutenant with the Sheriff’s Office. The male advised the victim she had a warrant for her arrest and needed to pay $1000 to avoid being arrested. The victim paid the suspect, then realized it was a scam.

Deputy conducted a traffic stop on vehicle for expired registration. Deputy learned the driver's privilege to drive was revoked due to a prior Dwi 122g clause. He was placed under arrest, transported and booked into Santa Fe County Jail without incident.

Stolen: Trailer Ramps ($1000)
On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, deputies responed to the above area in reference to a larceny. Upon arrival, it was learned the trailer ramps were stolen, possibly during the night hours of 09/29/2025. This case remains under investigation.

Arrested: Christopher Payne 36 YOM
Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for not having a license plate. After identifying the driver, it was learned his driving privileges were revoked with the arrest clause due to a prior dwi. Driver was placed under arrest, transported and booked into jail without incident.

Location- Calle Lorca/ St. Michaels
Deputies contacted Brittney for jay walking. She was found to have an outstanding warrant and was arrested. She was later booked at the SF ADC.

Deceased- 34 year old female/ Santa Fe
Location- Casa Rufina Rd
Deputies were dispatched to a welfare check at a residence. Upon arrival, deputies met with family, who had not heard from the decedent today. After entering the residence, deputies located a deceased female with paraphernalia still in her hand. Nothing suspicious was seen, and she appeared to have overdosed. OMI was called to the scene to investigate.

Location- US 84/285 @ MM 180
Deputies were called to assist the Pojoaque Police Department on a traffic stop. Deputies contacted Ms. Valencia and she was found to have an outstanding warrant. She was arrested on the warrant and later booked at the SF ADC.

Arrested: Isaiah Thorogood-Gallegos 25 yoa male
At about 3:30 a.m., A deputy observed the subject at the side door of the closed business, which had no trespassing signs posted. The subject was stopped and identified. During this time, it was discovered that no burglary had taken place. However, he was found to have 2 felony warrants. The first was issued by the First Judicial District Court for failing to comply with a controlled substance offense. The second issued by the Santa Fe Magistrate Court was for Aggravated Battery with a deadly weapon, Aggravated Shoplifting, and Battery. He was taken to SFADC, where he was booked.

Location: Airport Road/ Academy Road (Santa Fe)
Arrested: James Valdez 34 yoa male (Espanola) & Valentina Archuleta 31 yoa female (Bloomfield)
The above subjects were standing in the middle of the road at about 4:30 a.m., when they were contacted. Mr. Valdez was recognized and had two active warrants out of Rio Arriba Magistrate Court for Unlawful Taking MV & Conspiracy. When he was being placed under arrest, he began to struggle with deputies and refused to put his hands behind his back. He struggled for a few moments before being forcefully placed under arrest. His female companion was also found to have a warrant for her arrest for failing to appear out of Rio Arriba Magistrate Court for traffic offenses. Both were booked into SFADC.
