Suspect: Brian Varela / 41 YO / Male Santa Fe
On the above date Mr. Quintana was stopped for a traffic offense Mr. Quintana had an active warrant for his arrest. During a vehicle tow inventory methamphetamine was located and Mr. Quintana was charged and booked accordingly.

Missing: Jaime Powers 45 year old male
On the above date deputies were dispatched to the above area in reference to a male subject that was missing. Deputies made contact with the reporting party who stated she has not seen her brother in a few days. The reporting party stated her brother was last seen wearing a Teal hoodie and blue jeans he is described as being 6'0" 165 LBS, Blue eyes, light skin and having sandy blonde hair. This is an active investigation and is ongoing.

On Tuesday, December 29th, 2020 deputies responded to the above area in reference to an after the fact auto burglary. Contact was made with the victim and they advised unknown suspect(s) stole the above mentioned items from a vehicle. This occurred between 12:30 am and 07:00 am on 12-29-2020. This case remains under investigation.

On Tuesday, December 29th, 2020 deputies were dispatched to the above area for an after the fact residential burglary. Contact was made with the victim and they stated between December 26 and 29th, unknown persons gained unlawful access to the residence and stole two black slate rocks. This case remains under investigation.

Victim reported he received a call on 12-4-2020 from his bank notifying an unknown person attempted to apply for credit using his identity. Upon further investigation, the victim learned an unknown person attempted to apply for approx. 6 credit accounts and get a loan. All credit accounts were frozen. Case is under investigation.

On Sunday, December 27, 2020, deputies responded to the above area in reference to a not conscious and not breathing 61 year old male. Upon arrival, deputies learned medical personnel attempted life-saving measures on the male. However, no signs of life were observed and OMI responded to the scene. No signs of foul play were observed. This case remains under investigation.
