Deputies observed a vehicle speeding on NM 106. Deputies activated their emergency equipment to conduct a traffic stop on the speeding vehicle. The driver of the vehicle made an abrupt turn resulting in a collision. Deputies contacted the driver of the vehicle and observed signs of impairment. The driver was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility.

Deputy responded to location after paramedics advised the decedent was beyond help. Upon arrival, Deputy did not observe signs of foul play. Cause of death appears to be from natural causes.

Deputies made contact with the subject during a traffic stop and learned that the subject had three active warrants for her arrest. One warrant was out of the Espanola Municipal Court for failure to appear on original charges of shoplifting. Two warrants were out of the Rio Arriba Magistrate Court for failure to appear on the original charge of shoplifting. The subject was arrested and booked into Santa Fe ADC without incident.

Arrested: Luis Macal Garica, 35 YOM
Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding. Upon contact with the driver, signs of impairment were observed, and the driver admitted to consuming alcohol prior to driving. An open container of alcohol was observed in the cup holder. Further signs of impairment were observed during the SFSTs, and he was arrested for DUI. The driver refused to submit to a breath test and was booked into Santa Fe ADC without incident.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for lack of registration. Upon contact with the driver, it was learned that the driver had a revoked driver's license due to a prior DUI incident. The driver was arrested and booked into Santa Fe ADC without incident.

Deputy was attempting to locate vehicle after it was reported subject stole the vehicle and was possibly driving intoxicated. Deputy Villicana located the vehicle and learned her driving privileges were revoked unless an interlock device was installed. She did not have an interlock device in her vehicle. Subject was placed under arrest, transported and booked into Santa Fe County Jail.
