Deputy stopped a vehicle for a headlight out, and when contact was made with the driver it was discovered he had a revoked drivers license due to a prior DUI. Driver was arrested. 


Case #2025005561/ Aggravated DUI/ 9/20/2025

Arrested- Jorge Suarez Huerta (24 year old male/ Hernandez, NM)

Location- I25/ MM264

Shortly after midnight the Santa Fe Regional Emergency Communications Center put out a BOLO (be on the lookout) for a black Chrysler 300 that was involved in a domestic violence call in Rio Arriba County. Santa Fe PD officers conducted a traffic stop on the same black Chrysler 300 prior to the BOLO. After providing his information to officers, the driver fled the traffic stop when he was asked to step out of the vehicle to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. The SFRECC announced another BOLO for the vehicle after it fled from SFPD officers, and reported the vehicle was last seen on St. Francis near I25. Sgt. Webb located the vehicle on the I25 on ramp at mile marker 264, and observed the driver attempting to change a flat tire. Sgt. Webb placed the driver (Jorge Suarez Huerta) in custody, and observed heavy damage to the front passenger side of the vehicle, along with Suarez Huerta having bloodshot, watery eyes, slurred speech, and a strong odor of alcohol on him. A short time later it was discovered that Mr. Suarez Huerta struck a cyclist on the shoulder of I25 in the southbound lanes. The cyclist was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. A headlight and passenger side mirror from the black Chrysler 300 were collected at the scene of the crash. Mr. Suarez Huerta refused to perform SFST's and refused to provide a breath or blood sample. A warrant was obtained for a blood draw and he was later booked at the SF ADC for the following charges. SFSO- Aggravated DUI. SFPD- Leaving the scene of a crash with great bodily harm, Failure to immediately notify of a crash, Aggravated Fleeing, and Reckless driving. Deputies were advised by RASO that they would be obtaining a felony warrant stemming from the DV charges that occurred in their county. 


Case #2025005560/ Racing on Roadways/ Reckless Driving/ Resisting Evading an Officer/ 9/20/25

Assigned- Deputy M. Ward

Entering- Corporal D. Moore

Arrested- Milton Diaz Navarette (18 years old/ Santa Fe)

Location- Airport Rd/ Camino Tierra Real

Deputy Ward observed 4 vehicles racing on Airport Rd. As a deputy was turning around to catch up to them. One of the vehicles, driven by Mr. Diaz Navarrete, turned off its lights and turned onto Camino Tierra Real in an attempt to avoid the deputy. Deputy Ward observed the vehicle pull into a parking lot and conducted a traffic stop. Diaz Navarrete was placed under arrest and later booked at the SF ADC.


Case #2025005554/ Driving While License Revoked/ 9/19/25

Entering- Corporal D. Moore

Arrested- Joe Martinez (59 year old male/ Medanales, NM)

Location- NM 76

Deputies came into contact with Mr. Martinez during a traffic stop. He was found to be driving on a revoked driver's license, due to a previous DUI. He was arrested and later booked at the SF ADC.


Case #2025005548/Aggravated Assault/09-19-2025

Location: 18300 U.S. 84/285

Arrested: Leonard Vigil, 62 YOM

On Friday, September 19, 2025, deputies responded to a report of a reckless driver near milepost 183 on U.S. 84/285. The caller reported another driver was attempting to run them off the road. Contact was made with the victim and they advised a grey Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck attempted to run them off the road twice, which almost caused them to crash into a concrete barrier. The above suspect was located and admitted to being involved in a road rage incident. He was subsequently placed under arrest and he was transported to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facilty where he was booked accordingly on three counts of Aggravated Assault.


Case #2025005540 / Unattended Death / 09/19/2025

Supervisor: Sgt. V. Baca

Location: Bouquet Lane

Decedent: 72 YOM

Deputies responded to a call for service in reference to a fire assist with a structure fully engulfed.As firefighters extinguished the flames, they located a body, beyond any life-saving measures, inside the home.  The Criminal Investigations Divison,and Fire Marshal were dispatched to the location.  Nothing suspicious was observed as the incident appeared to be accidental.


Case #2025005534 / Agg DUI - Reckless Driving - No Insurance - Open Container / 09/19/2025

Deputy Assigned: C. Cullison

Supervisor: Sgt. V. Baca

Location: NM-14 / NM-599

Arrested: Dana Garcia (28 YOA)

Deputies responded to assist the Santa Fe Police Depratment with a traffic stop.  The vehicle was observed driving the wrong direction and was observed operating at 80 mph in a 55 mph zone.  The driver showed signs of impairment. An open container was located in the vehicle and no proof of insurance was provided. The driver refused chemical testing and was booked accordingly.

Location: Interstate 25 Mile 267

Arrested: Dominic Tenorio (20 YOA)

Deputies conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle for an infraction.  Through an NCIC inquiry, it was discovered the driver had a revoked drivers license pursuant to a previous DUI.  He was placed under arrest and booked accordingly.


Case 2025005529/ Agg battery, Criminal damage to property, larceny, burglary/ 9-19-2025

Entering: Cpl. Talamante

Location: S Calle Del Oro, Santa Fe, NM

Arrested: Veronica Vasquez, 31 YOF, and Ian Marlin, 35 YOM

Deputies were dispatched to the location regarding a disorderly conduct. Deputies arrived on scene and, through their investigation, learned the suspects had battered the victim. During the altercations, the suspect stole several items before leaving the location. The suspects were later located, charged, and booked into Santa Fe ADC.

Location: 3600 Rodeo Rd, Santa Fe, NM 

Arrested: Reynaldo Corado- Medina, 31 YOM

Deputies made contact with the subject during a suspicious persons check. The subject had three active warrants for his arrest for failure to appear on charges of camping regulations, concealing ID, and not crossing at a crosswalk. The subject was arrested and booked into Santa Fe ADC without incident.
