Arrested: Higino Chacon-Miranda 42 yoa male 

The subject was stopped for a registration offense. He was found to have an interlock license due to a prior DWI arrest. A check of the vehicle revealed there was no interlock installed. He was arrested for operating a vehicle while his privilege is revoked. He was taken to SFADC where he was booked.

Location: 400 Blk N. Riverside Dr.

Arrested: Kevin Anthony De La Cruz (26 YOM)

While conducting patrols through Santa Fe County, Deputies were waved down by a male in a Tacoma.  The male advised the Silverado behind him was chasing the Tacoma.  Deputies conducted a traffic stop and discovered the male was driving while his license was revoked, due to a previous DUI.  He was placed under arrest and booked accordingly.

Case#2025004602 Warrant Arrest x4 8-7-25

Location: Camino Carlos Rael (Santa Fe)

Arrested: Salvador Gonzales 25 yoa male (Santa Fe)

Deputies were in the area attempting to locate a wanted subject and found him standing in his driveway. He was placed into custody on two felony district court warrants for Felony Shoplifting and trafficking a controlled substance and two warrants issued by Santa Fe Magistrate Court for Agg. Fleeing, DWI and traffic offenses. He was taken to SFADC where he was booked.   

Case#2025004601 Warrant Arrest 08-07-25

Location 4400 Block of Cerrillos Road 

Arrested: Melonie Ortiz 35 yoa female (Santa Fe)

Contact was made with the subject after she was walking in the roadway. She was found to have an active warrant for her arrest out of the Espanola Municipal court for shoplifting. She was arrested and booked into SFADC without incident. 

Case #2025004579 / Fraud / 08/06/2025

Location: Carlito Road

Victim: 64 YOA

Deputies responded to a call for service in reference to farud. The victim was contacted by a person claiming to be "Coach John Vasquez" who was associated with VaultEdge.com and QuantumEdge.com (crypto currency). The victim stated he invested approximately $43,000.00.  The victim believes it was a scam due to his account displaying $0.00. 

Case#2025004573 Unattended Death 8-5-25

Assigned: D. Lovato

Entering: Sgt. E. Webb Jr. 

Location: La Joya Road (Glorieta) 

Deceased: 44 yoa female 

Deputies were dispatched to an assisting ambulance call in reference to a female who was not breathing and unconscious. Initial investigation revealed no sign of foul play, and the death appeared to have been related to possible substance abuse. However, an autopsy is pending the final cause of death determination by the office of the medical investigator.  

Case 2025004543/ Battery against a household member/8/5/2025

Assigned: Deputy A. Pool

Entering: Cpl. Talamante

Location: Spur Cross Pl, Santa Fe, NM 

Arrested: James Boyle, 73 YOM

Deputies responded to the location regarding a domestic disturbance. Upon investigation, it was determined that the subject battered the victim by striking her multiple times. The subject was arrested and booked into Santa Fe ADC without incident. 

2025004537/ Auto Theft / 8-5-2025

Location: Sierra Place south

Stolen: 1981 Case Tractor

The victim reported that unknown persons stole the tractor sometime between 5:00am and 5:30am. There are no suspects at this time. Case is under investigation.

Arrested: John Chavez    Age: 62   Gallina, NM

Deputies located and stopped a vehicle after observing a traffic violation. Contact was made with the driver, John Chavez. Mr. Chavez was found to be driving while his license was revoked. Mr. Chavez was arrested and taken to the Santa Fe County Jail.

2025004524 / Aggravated fleeing a LE Officer / 08-04-2025

Location: 1-4 mile post of NM-599 Santa Fe, NM

Arrested: Cyrus McCray 49 YOM

Deputies located suspect after receiving numerous reports of a reckless driver. Deputies also observed the vehicle driving recklessly. Driver refused to stop almost causing numerous crashes. Driver later pulled over and was placed under arrest without further incident. He was charged and booked into Santa Fe County Jail.
