Pojoaque Area, Santa Fe County 

Deputy conducted a traffic stop for speeding, during the stop the above listed suspect had a revoked driver's license and was operating the vehicle without and ignition interlock. The driver was arrested and booked without incident. 


Case #2026003750, 3751/ Warrant Arrest x2/ 7/17/26

Assigned- Deputy D. Lovato

Entering- Corporal D. Moore

Location- Griego Hill (Tesuque)

Arrested- Brandon Baray (30 year old male/ Santa Fe)

Deputies contacted Brandon during a call for service and he was found to have two outstanding warrants. He was arrested and later booked at the SF ADC.


Case #2026003749/ Aggravated DUI (refusal), Failure to maintain lane/ 7/17/26

Assigned- Deputy J. Watson

Entering- Corporal D. Moore

Location- Cerrillos Rd/ Camino Entrada

Arrested- Johnny Montoya (68 year old male/ Santa Fe)

On July 18, 2026, deputies were conducting routine patrol when they observed a vehicle failing to maintain its lane of travel. A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver displayed signs of impairment. Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFSTs) were conducted, after which the driver was placed under arrest. The driver refused to provide a breath sample. The male was transported to SFADC, where he was booked without further incident.

Location: Wheat Street

Arrested: Adam Harper (44 YO)

Deputies were called to conduct a welfare check on an individual asleep in his vehicle. Contact was made, and the subject had an active arrest warrant for a failure to appear on a DUI charge. Subject was arrested and taken to the detention facility.

Arrested- Anthony Montoya (35 year old male/ Santa Fe)

Location- Camino Carlos Rey/ Cerrillos

Deputies contacted Anthony because he was riding a bicycle in the roadway without a rear reflector. Anthony was found to have an outstanding warrant and was arrested. He was later booked at the Santa Fe ADC.


SFSO Case# 2026003732/ Shoplifting/ 7.16.2026

Deputy Assigned: A. Gallardo

Location: Big R Santa Fe

Arrested: Lacey Stephens (35 Y.O.F.)
                Elias Griego (49 Y.O.M.)

Victim: Big R Stores

Deputies were on routine patrol in the area when they were approached by the store manager of Big R. The manager reported that the suspects had taken a trailer hitch and left the premises without paying. The suspects were located and subsequently charged with shoplifting ($250 or Less) and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility. 


SFSO Case# 2026003731 / Child abuse, Battery / 7.16.2026

Deputy Assigned. A. Corral

Location: Old Pueblito Rd.

Arrested: Joseph Henry Montano Jr. (35 Y.O.M.)

Victim: 17 Y.O.M.

Deputies responded to the area in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon investigation, it was learned that the listed suspect battered his minor son. The battery occurred outside the bounds of normal discipline. He was arrested, charged with Child Abuse and battery, and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility.


Case #2026003715, 3716, 3717/ Warrant Arrest x3/ 7/15/26

Arrested- Venustiano Olivarez, AKA Cesar Moreno, AKA Joaquin Mendez Chavez (56 year old male/ Santa Fe)

Arrested- Donna Burgess (28 year old female/ Santa Fe)

Location- Cerrillos Rd/ Beckner Rd

A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle for having expired plates and no insurance. The driver, who provided the driver's license under the name of Joaquin Mendez Chavez, was found to have warrants under two other names. The warrants were found due to his fingerprints matching with the aliases. His passenger was also found to have an outstanding warrant. Both were arrested and later booked at the SF ADC.


Case #2026003521 // Child Abuse, Battery Against a Household Member - 7/15/2026

Location: Blue Spruce Dr. 

Arrested: Amy Ketcheson (38 YO)

Deputies responded to the address in reference to a domestic disturbance. Investigation revealed the suspect hit the victim several times, while he was holding a 6 year old child. Suspect was taken to the detention center. 


Case #2026003713 // Aggravated DUI, Reckless Driving, Leaving the Scene - 7/15/2026

Location: Old Santa Fe Trail

Arrested: Ruben Rodriguez (45 YO)

On July 15, 2026, deputies responded to the intersection of Old Santa Fe Trl/Old Santa Fe Way, Santa Fe County, New Mexico, regarding a hit and run crash. The suspect, Ruben Rodriguez, sideswiped the victims vehicle and crashed into a ditch while attempting to flee the scene. Mr. Rodriguez was located a short time later where he attempted to flee from deputies. Mr. Rodriguez was located at his residence a short time later and taken into custody. Mr. Rodriguez refused to conduct SFSTs and chemical testing. Mr. Rodriguez was booked into SFADC without further incident.
