Arrested- Anita Swanson (63 year old female/ Abiquiu)

Deputies conducted a welfare check on a vehicle. Upon contact with the driver, she displayed signs of impairment. She refused SFST's and refused to submit to chemical testing. She was arrested and booked into ADC.


Case 2025002246, 2247/ Revoked, Warrant/ 4-17-25

Arrested: Manuel Dominguez, 50 YOM

Deputies responded to a reckless driver call for service. Deputies were able to locate the vehicle in the parking lot of La Famillia Center off College Ave. Upon contact with the driver it was learned his drivers license was revoked due to a previous DUI. The driver also had a warrant for his arrest out of the Santa Fe Magistrate Court for failure to appear on a DUI charge. The subject was arrested and booked into Satna Fe ADC without incident. 


2025002244/Aggravated DWI/04-17-2025

Location: 17200 U.S. 84/285, Santa Fe, NM

Arrested: King James Varela, 25 YOM

On Thursday, April 17, 2025, deputies were patrolling the above area when they observed a vehicle that was failing to maintain its lane of travel. A traffic stop was conducted and contact was made with the above driver. The driver displayed signs of impairment and he consented to SFSTs. Deputies observed additional signs of impairment and he was placed under arrest. The driver was read the NM Implied Consent Advisory and he consented to chemical testing. The driver was transported to the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office where he provided a breath sample. The sample provided was .16. He was subsequently booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

Victim reported unknown suspect(s) stole multiple pieces of high end jewelry within the last month. Case is under investigation.

Deputies responded to the scene for a female not concious and not breathing. Paramedics were on scene and llife saving measures was unsuccesful. OMI arrived on scene and completed and investigation. No foul play.

2025002207 / Unlawful taking of a motor vehicle / 04-16-2025

Victim: 36 YOM

Victim reported he was transporting his gold Ford Ranger with a ladder and attachment when he got a flat tire on his trailer. Victim left to get a new tire and returned later to discover his truck and trailer missing. The gold Ford Ranger is bearing NM-585XBA. Case is under investigation.

2025002204 / Filing a false report / 04-16-2025

Location: Paseo Galisteo Santa Fe, NM

Arrested: Brennen Carrillo 26 YOM

Deputy responded to location and met with subject. Subject reported hid vehicle being stolen the evening prior. Deputies from swing shift dealt with the vehicle during a crash the evening prior and identified subject as being the driver. Subject was placed under arrest, transported and booked into jail.
