On Tuesday, August 25, 2026, deputies responded to the above location for a report of an inmate who was found to have an active bench warrant. On scene, the warrant was confirmed to be valid. The subject was then rebooked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

On Tuesday, August 25, 2026, deputies responded to the above location for a report of an inmate who was found to have an active bench warrant. On scene, the warrant was confirmed to be valid. The subject was then rebooked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

On Tuesday, August 25, 2026, deputies responded to the area of Camino Justicia for a report of sexual abuse. Contact was made with the victim and they advised they were sexually abused by unknown male suspects. The victim advised this occured after being injected with an unknown substance. This case remains under investigation.
Case #2026004467/ Battery on a Peace Officer x4, Criminal Damage Over $1000, Shoplifting Over $250, Resisting Evading/ 8/25/26

Arrested- Diego Lozano Banda (24 year old male/ Santa Fe)
Location- Zafarano Dr/ Cerrillos Rd
Deputies working a proactive enforcement operation observed Diego walking through a parking lot off Zafarano and Cerrillos and knew he was a missing person out of the SFPD. He was contacted and observed to be carrying four fragrances with security tags actively beeping. The frangrances were recovered and taken back to the store they were believed to be stolen from. The store employees confirmed that Diego had shoplifted the merchandise. Diego was arrested, however, during the arrest he kicked multiple deputies and attempted to injure them. During transport to the SF ADC. Diego damaged a SFSO vehicle by kicking it multiple times from the back seat. He was later booked at the SF ADC on the listed charges.
Case 2026004458 - Unattended Death - 8/25/26

Entering: Cpl. J Soriano
Location: Camino Cieneguilla
Deceased: 79 YOM
Deputies responded to the scene in reference to a male not concious, not breathing. Santa Fe City Medics administered life saving proceedures on the male who subsequently passed away. Male had history of medical conditions and no evidence of foul play.

Victim: Santa Fe Police Department
Deputies were dispatched to the Santa Fe Police Headquarters. Deputies made contact with a Santa Fe PD Captain, who informed deputies of a damaged patrol vehicle parked in employee parking lot. An unknown suspect threw a rock through the windshielf of a Santa Fe Police Vehicle that was parked in the secured parking area of the Santa Fe Police parking lot. Surveillance footage is pending.

Victim: 67 Y.O.M.
Deputies responded to the Area in reference to a vehicle that had driven down an embankment. Upon arrival that located the victem in the driver's seat of the vehicle unconscious. He was removed from the vehicle and life saving measures were attempted. The victim passed away. It was suspected that the victim had a medical emergency and passed away from the emergency. Next of kin was notified. No foul play was suspected.

On Sunday, August 23, 2026, Deputies responded to a domestic dispute at Camino Perdido in Santa Fe County. Cesar Grajeda was placed under arrest for Battery Upon a Household Member. Grajeda was transported to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center, where he was booked without incident.
