Deputies were dispatched to the location in reference to a fraud. Deputies were advised the victim noticed fraudulent activity on her bank account. The victim believed a former employee stole her debit card and was using it to make fraudulent purchases. This case is still active.
Case #2026003659 Unattended Death

Location: Tecolote Circle, Santa Fe
Decedent: 79 YOA male, Santa Fe
Deputies were dispatched to the location in reference to an ambulance assist. Deputies were advised a male had collapsed at the location. While enroute, deputies were advised medics had ceased lifesaving efforts due to a Do Not Resuscitate order in place. Deputies observed no signs of foul play. The Office of the Medical Investigator (OMI) was contacted and responded to the scene. Next of kin was notified.

Location- 200 block of Rabbit Rd
Deputies were dispatched to a residence in reference to a disorderly conduct. While on scene, deputies contacted Abner and he was found to have an outstanding warrant and he was arrested. He was later booked at the SF ADC.

Deputies were dispatched in reference to a restraining order violation. Upon arrival, deputies confirmed the listed suspect had been served a temporary order of protection, and he was violating the order by being at the residence. The suspect was arrested and booked into Santa Fe County ADC without incident.
Case #2026003645/ Driving While License Revoked, No Registration, No Insurance/ 7/10/26

Arrested- Christina Ferrero (42 year old female/ Santa Fe)
Location- 3200 Block of Cerrillos Rd.
On Friday, July 10, 2026, at approximately 10:38 p.m. deputies observed the listed vehicle traveling on Cerrillos Rd near Siler Rd. The registration status and insurance status both showed suspended and the registered owner returned invalid revoked due to a prior DWI. A traffic stop was conducted and the listed suspect was confirmed to be driving the vehicle. The suspect was arrested on the listed charges and booked into Santa Fe County ADC without incident.

Deputies were conducting traffic enforcement and made contact with the suspect during a traffic stop. It was subsequently learned that she had an outstanding warrant for her arrest. She was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility.
Case #2026003626/Identity Theft

On 7/9/26 Deputies were dispatched to an Identity Theft. Upon arrival Dep. M. Sanchez made contact with the victim who advised he wanted to report unknown suspect enrolled in college at Barry University in Miami and used his social security number. Victim said there was a default on a loan at the university for $9000 dollars. Suspect information is unknown and the fraud department at the unversity is looking into the matter.

Deputies assisted Santa Fe County Code Enforcement at the location and made contact with multiple subjects. During the course of the investigation, Deputies recognized one of the subjects, who was unknown as a wanted person. The subject’s warrants were confirmed, and he was transported to SFADC, where he was booked accordingly.

Deputies were conducting traffic enforcement in the Pojoaque Area. Deputies observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign and initiated a traffic stop. Deputies made contact with the driver of the vehicle, Richard Taylor. Upon an MVD records check it was learned that Mr. Taylor's driving privilege to drive had been revoked due to a previous DWI charge. Mr. Taylor was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility.
Case #2026003607/Wire Fraud

On 7/8/26 Deputies responded to the above location in reference to a Wire Fraud. Victim wanted to report an unknown suspect charged 5,000 dollars on a credit card while he was in rehab at Long View Recovery. This was done through an amazon account and the merchandise was sent to an unknown address in Washington and California. Suspect information is unknown at this time and New Mexico Credit union fraud deparment is looking into this matter.
