Subject was stopped for a traffic violation. He was found to have an active warrant out of Los Alamos District Court for failing to appear on the original charge of Agg. Stalking. He was booked into SFADC without incident. 


CASE#2026001767/UNATTENDED DEATH/03-28-2026

Decedant: 78 YOM

Location: Boneyard Road (Arroyo Seco Area)

Deputies responded to the area in reference to a male found not consicous and not breathing. EMS was also called and tried life saving measures. The male was not able to be saved by EMS and OMI was called to the scene. During the investigtaion no signs of foul play was found

On 3/28/26 Deputies were dispatched to the above location in reference to a Simple Assault.  Upon arrival Deputies made contact with Subject.  Dispatch confirmed Subject had an active Santa Fe Magistrate Court warrant.  Subject was palced under arrest and booked in to the Santa Fe Adult Detention Center without incident.

On 3/28/26, deputies responded to above location, in reference to a trespass. The Subject had been previously trespassed from the property. Subject was booked into Santa Fe ADC without incident.

Buffalo Thunder Hotel

Deputies responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at 30 Buffalo Thunder Trl. Upon arrival, the victim informed the deputies that she had been physically struck by her boyfriend. Following further investigation, the suspect was arrested on charges of false imprisonment and aggravated battery against a household member.

Location - I-25 Milepost 271

At about 0345 hours Deputy Christopherson had a black Honda Accord, with no lights on, pass him at approximately 100 MPH on Rodeo Rd near Richards. Deputy Christopherson attempted a traffic stop and the vehicle fled westbound on Rodeo Rd, running the red light at Cerrillos. Deputy Christopherson lost visual of the vehicle near Airport Rd and Lopez Ln. Deputy Olivas located the vehicle approximately 1 minute later, blacked out turning northbound on Camino Vista Aurora from Rufina and attempted a traffic stop. Due to the vehicle’s reckless driving, a pursuit was authorized. Stop sticks were deployed on NM 599 near Jaguar, deflating the front driver side tire. The pursuit entered I25 southbound, and when the vehicle lost the front driver side tire, it exited at the 271 and stopped. 5 male subjects exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Ezekial Larranaga and Santos Atencio were quickly apprehended by Deputy Olivas and Corporal Moore. Through an investigation, deputies learned the identity of the driver as Deryk Serrano, and learned that the suspect’s girlfriend would be picking him up from a nearby property. The suspect’s girlfriend was seen leaving the area in a vehicle and the vehicle was stopped. The suspect, Deryk Serrano, was located hiding in the trunk. He displayed signs of impairment and refused to submit to a breath sample. He was transported to the hospital where a search warrant was obtained for a blood draw. Following the blood draw he was booked at the SF ADC.

Deputy Flores conducted a traffic stop, during contact with the driver Deputy Flores observed signs of impairment. A DWI investigation was conducted and the driver was arrested for DWI. Breath samples were a 0.12 and 0.13.

Eldorado Area, Santa Fe

Deputies were dispatched in reference to a welfare check requested by a neighbor. The homeowner had reportedly not been seen for a number of weeks and their mailbox was full. Upon arrival, deputies detected an odor consistent with decomposition. Entry was made and a male was found deceased in the residence from a suspected self inflicted gunshot wound.

Arrested- Destiny Escobar (28 year old female/ Santa Fe)

Destiny was contacted during a traffic stop for driving with no illuminated tail lamps. It was discovered that she was driving on a revoked driver's license and she was arrested. She was later booked at the SF ADC.
