Deputies went to the address due to the suspect having an active warrant for his arrest for false reporting. Contact was made, and during search incident to arrest, narcotics were found on the subject. He was arrested and charged accordingly. 


Case# 2025006462 - Burglary - 11/3/25

Assigned: D. Rodriguez

Entering: Cpl. Hernandez 

Location: Laguna Vista Dr, Santa Fe NM 

Deputies responded to the location in reference to a burglary. Contact was made with the homeowner, who stated sometime between 10/28/25 – 11/3/25 an unknown suspect(s) make entry into his home and stole multiple household goods. Deputies noticed entry was gained through the front, the case is under investigation.


Case 2025006463-Breaking and Entering/Unlawful taking of a motor vehicle/Criminal Trespass

Arrested-Armando Salcido (37YOM Santa Fe, NM)

Suspect broke window to a location, entered the home and when confronted by property owner the suspect took a motorcyle on the property attempting to flee. Suspect was located by deputies, placed under arrest and booked into SF ADC with out incident. 


2025006452 DWI, Open Container 11-03-25

Assigned: M. Olivas & L. Cinton 

Entering: Sgt. E. Webb Jr. 

Location: Sunrise Pl. (La Cienega)

Arrested: Ryan Castaneda Lopez 21 yoa male 

Deputies were dispatched to the area after a resident called and advised there were intoxicated persons around a vehicle that had crashed. Upon arrival deputies began to inviestigate and learned the subject had high centered the vehicle on the shoulder of the road. The subject then tried to get the vehicle unstuck. During the contact, the driver smelled of consumed alcohol. He submitted to SFST's and showed signs of impairment. He was arrested. He provided a breath sample of over .08 BRaC. There were also several open containers located in the vehicle. The subject was booked into SFADC without incident. 


Case #2025006442 // Commercial Burglary - 11/1/2025

Location: Dinosaur Trail

Deputies responded to the address in reference to a burglary in progress. There were two individuals caught on camera breaking into the business and attempting to take several construction tools. Case is under investigation. 


Case #2025006440 // Aggravated Battery Against a Household Member - 11/1/2025

Location: Calle Del Arroyo 

Suspect: Avelino Gurule (63 YO)

Deputies were dispatched to the residence in reference to a domestic disturbance where the suspect had committed a battery on his ex-wife by strangulation. Suspect was arrested and transported to ADC.


Case #2025006436 // Unattended Death - 11/1/2025

Deputy Assigned: A. Corral

Commander Entering: Cpl. A. Hancock 

Location: Estambre Rd. 

Deceased: James McFarland (79 YO)

Deputies were dispatched to the residence for a male who was found deceased by his wife. Investigation revealed the victim had suffered various medical issues. There were no signs of foul play and victim was said to have passed from natural causes. 


Case #2025006447 / Warrant Service / 11/02/2025

Deputy Assigned: G. Perez

Supervisor: Sgt. V. Baca

Location: Camino De Roberto

Arrested: Alexandra Trujillo (31 YOA)

Deputies were patrolling the area and were signalled by Ms. Trujillo. She asked for assistance with her vehicle but quickly rescinded her request for assistance and left the area in another vehicle.  After an NCIC inquiry with the license plate, it was discovered Ms. Trujillo had an active arrest warrant. A traffic stop was conducted and Ms. Trujillo was placed under arrest. 


Case#2025006444 Agg. DWI 11-02-25

Entering: Sgt. E. Webb Jr. 

Arrested: Matthew Goodyear 49 yoa male (Santa Fe)

Location: St. Francis Drive & Cerrillos Road 

Deputies observed the male driving the wrong way on Cerrillos Road from Saint Francis Drive. A  traffic stop was conducted and contact was made with the driver. He admitted to drinking at bars downtown Santa Fe and admitted he was too intoxicated to be driving. He submitted to SFST's and showed signs of impairment. He was arrested and submitted to a breath test of .17&.17. He was booked into SFADC without incident. 


Case#2025006443 DWI 11-02-25

Assigned: Dep. J. Watson 

Entering: Sgt. E. Webb Jr. 

Location: 20 Buffalo Thunder Trl (Pojoaque)

Arrested: Manuel Griego 29 yoa male 

Pojoaque Tribal Police contacted SFRECC about a crash in the Buffalo Thunder Parking lot. They advised the driver of the vehicle was possibly intoxicated. The subject was contacted on the scene by deputies. He admitted to consuming alcohol and performed SFST's. He showed signs of impairment and was arrested. The subject submitted to a breath test and provided tests .13 and .11. He was booked into SFADC.
