Deputies were contacted by a citizen who stated she had been involved in a domestic disturbance with her fiancé. During the investigation, deputies learned the suspect battered the victim. The suspect was located and arrested. The suspect was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility.

Arrested: Jeffery Montano, 51 YOM
On Tuesday, April 28, 2026, deputies responded to the above area to assist the Santa Clara Tribal Police Department. Upon arrival, it was found that Santa Clara officers had come into contact with the above male, and the male had a bench warrant out of Santa Fe County. After the warrant was confirmed to be valid, the male was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility, where he was booked accordingly and without incident.

Arrested: Fabian Madril (48 YO)
On 4/28/2026 deputies working the proactive enforcement operation responded to the Home Depot at 952 Richards ave for a shoplifting in progress. They arrived and observed the suspect running away from the store. After a foot chase the offender, Fabian Madril, was taken into custody. Madril was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center. The value of the property recovered was $479.80

Arrested: Richard Garcia (58 YO)
Deputies made contact with an individual for jaywalking. Subject was found to have an active warrant for arrests for failure to appear for a DUI charge. Subject was booked at the jail.

Arrested- Stephanie Wilt (30 year old female/ Edgewood)
Deputies working a proactive enforcement operation were contacted by a local retailer who advised a female was inside their store concealing merchandise. Deputies arrived and were notified the suspect had removed an item from its packaging, then discarded the packaging in the bathroom trashcan. The suspect was contacted by deputies and returned the stolen merchandise. She was arrested and later booked at the SF ADC.

On Monday, April 27, 2026, deputies were patrolling the above area when a traffic stop was conducted in connection to a previous call for service. During the traffic stop, contact was made with the above person. It was discovered that he had an active bench warrant. Once it was confirmed to be valid, he was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility, where he was booked accordingly and without incident.

Arrested: Abraham Cardoza-Ponce (34 YO)
Deputies were dispatched to the above listed location in reference to a domestic disturbance, upon completion of their investigation it was discovered that the offender and victim got into a verbal altercation. The offender proceeded to pick up a 3lb sledgehammer and struck the victim three times on the left side of the victim’s head. The offender was seen driving in the area and a traffic stop was conducted where he was found to have a revoked license due to a prior DUI. The offender was taken into custody without issue.

Deputies were dispatched to the address in reference to an RV that had been stolen. Case is under investigation at this time.
Case #2026002300/Unlawful taking of a motor vehicle

On April 27th, 2026, deputies were dispatched to the above listed address in reference to a unlawful taking of a motor vehicle. Deputies learned the vehicle was last seen Friday 4/24/2026 at approximately 5:00 pm. On 4/27/26 the vehicle was discovered missing at approximatley 6:00 am. Tire tracks from the vehicle led to a cut in the facility fencing where the vehicle exited the facility. Patrols of the surrounding area were done and the vehicle was not located. The vehicle has a white crane attached as well as a welder.

Deputies initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for expired registration. Upon contact the subject had a revoked license (122G) for a previous DUI. Subject was arrested and booked into ADC with no issue.
