On 7/9/26 Deputies were dispatched to an Identity Theft. Upon arrival Dep. M. Sanchez made contact with the victim who advised he wanted to report unknown suspect enrolled in college at Barry University in Miami and used his social security number. Victim said there was a default on a loan at the university for $9000 dollars. Suspect information is unknown and the fraud department at the unversity is looking into the matter.

Arrested: Bobby Salazar
Deputies assisted Santa Fe County Code Enforcement at the location and made contact with multiple subjects. During the course of the investigation, Deputies recognized one of the subjects, who was unknown as a wanted person. The subject’s warrants were confirmed, and he was transported to SFADC, where he was booked accordingly.

Arrested: Richard Taylor (52 Y.O.M)
Location: Pojoaque
Deputies were conducting traffic enforcement in the Pojoaque Area. Deputies observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign and initiated a traffic stop. Deputies made contact with the driver of the vehicle, Richard Taylor. Upon an MVD records check it was learned that Mr. Taylor's driving privilege to drive had been revoked due to a previous DWI charge. Mr. Taylor was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility.
Case #2026003607/Wire Fraud

Location: Calle Abeja
On 7/8/26 Deputies responded to the above location in reference to a Wire Fraud. Victim wanted to report an unknown suspect charged 5,000 dollars on a credit card while he was in rehab at Long View Recovery. This was done through an amazon account and the merchandise was sent to an unknown address in Washington and California. Suspect information is unknown at this time and New Mexico Credit union fraud deparment is looking into this matter.

Arrested- Sara Tafoya (50 year old female/ Santa Fe)
Location- 3000 block of Cerrillos Rd
Sara was stopped for jay walking and was found to have an outstanding warrant. She was arrested on the warrant and later booked at the SF ADC.

Location: Ponderosa/ E Pine
Deputies were dispatched to the location in regards to a disorderly conduct. While conducting the investigation they made contact with the above listed suspect. After departing the scene deputies learned the suspect had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for battery. Deputies returned to the scene and made contact with the suspect again. They placed him into custody and transported him to the SFADC for the warrant.

Arrested: Ivan Martinez (61 Y.O.M)
Location: Shenandoah Trl.
Deputies were conducting traffic enforcement in the area and were notified of a vehicle unable to maintain its traffic lanes. Deputies located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. During the course of their investigaiton they determined that the driver, Ivan Martinez, had a revoked driver's license with history of a previous DWI. They also determined that his license was expired, his vehicle was not registered and he was unable to provide insurance. He was arrested and booked on Driving while license revoked, No driver's license, No registration, and no insurance.

Subject was incarcerated at the Santa Fe Adult Detention Center and was re-booked on an active warrant for his arrest. Failure to appear on traffic offenses.

Deputies responded to the location in reference to a burglary. Deputies were advised unknown suspect(s) entered a work trailer at the location and took several thousand dollars’ worth of tools over the weekend. This case remains under investigation at this time.

Foreman reported unknown suspects made unlawful entry to location and stole torches, hand tools, pressure washer and miscellaneous tools. Investigation is ongoing totaling $5000.
