Deputies responded to a vehicle that crashed into a fence, upon arrival contact was made with the driver who admitted to crashing into the fence and being intoxicated and he was arrested. It was the drivers fifth subsequent DWI and a blood warrant was obtained.

Victim was scammed by someone claiming to be with Instagram. Suspect told victim if they paid a certain amount they could see a famous celebrity. Victim was scammed into paying money to an unknown suspect. Case is under investigation.

Case #2025005902/Burglary/10-07-2025

Location: 500 Block of Agua Fria, Santa Fe, NM

Stolen: Energy Drinks

On Tuesday, October 7, 2025, deputies responded to the above area in reference to an after the fact burglary. Contact was made with the victim, and they advised on Sunday, October 5, 2025, unknown persons gained unlawful entry into their residence and stole some energy drinks. This case remains under investigation.

Deputies responded to a welfare check. Initial investigation revealed no sign of foul play. The office of the medical investigator was contacted and they completed their investigation.

Victim stated that between July 15 and August 1st, someone entered a home he listed for sale and removed the appliances from inside. Case is being investigated.

Victim received calls from  numbers showing up as 1st Financial. Vcitim was scammed into providing personal information. Unknown suspect(s) were able to remove $1,000 from the victims bank account. Case is under investigation.

Case #2025005867/ Warrant Arrest/ 10/6/25

Assigned- Deputy O. Przyojski

Entering- Corporal D. Moore

Arrested- Solomon Morton (24 year old male/ Santa Fe)

Location- Cerrillos Rd/ Rodeo Rd

Deputies contacted Mr. Morton on a traffic stop and he was found to have an outstanding warrant. He was arrested and later booked at the SF ADC.

Case #2025005863 // Concealing ID, Traffic Violations, Warrant Arrest - 10/6/2025

Arrested: Gerardo Chavez-Najero (40 YO)

Deputies went to assist Tesuque PD with a traffic stop in which the driver had an active arrest warrant, and was concealing ID. Driver was arrested and issued several traffic citations, to include open container. He was also served an active arrest warrant failure to appear on expired registration.

Location: 15 NM 106, Espanola, NM 

The subject was picked up by Probation and Parole on a warrant for failure to appear on charges of conspiracy to commit distribution of a controlled substance and bringing contraband into the jail. The subject was arrested and booked into Santa Fe ADC without incident.

Arrested: Melany Perez (23 YOA)

Deputies conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle for an infraction.  It was discovered the driver of the vehicle had an active arrest warrant.  She was taken into custody and booked accordingly.
