Deputy conducted a traffic and upon making contact with persons in the vehicle. Suspect was found to have an active arrest warrant for failure to apprear for various traffic violations. Subject was booked into SFADC.
Case #2026001061/ Aggravated DWI, Failure to Maintain Lane/ 2/20/26

Arrested- Jeremy Romero (48 year old male/ Santa Fe)
A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle for nearly hitting the cement barrier on US 84/285. Upon contact with the driver, signs of impairment were observed and he was arrested for DWI. He refused to provide a breath sample, so a search warrant was obtained to draw his blood. He was later booked at the SF ADC.

On Friday, February 20, 2026, deputies were patrolling the above area when they contacted the above suspect. During the encounter, it was found she had an active bench warrant. After the warrant was confirmed to be valid, she was placed under arrest. She was transported to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility. There, she was booked accordingly and without incident.

Arrested- Brianna Hernandez (28 year old female/ Santa Fe)
Arrested- Matthew Montano (37 year old male/ Santa Fe)
Deputies contacted both individuals at a residence, and deputies knew both had warrants. Brianna had two outstanding warrants (4 counts of aggravated battery on a peace officer, aggravated fleeing, receiving/ transferring stolen motor vehicle, and distribution of narcotics). Matthew had one outstanding warrant (felon in possession of a firearm). They were arrested and later booked at the SF ADC.

On Thursday, February 19, 2026, deputies responded to the above area for a report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, a sweep of the residence was conducted and no one was located. Based off evidence gathered, a male suspect had been at the location and had left in a GMC Terrain. This case remains under investigation.
