Suspect- Jose Nava 41YOM - (Warrant Issued)

On Sunday, July 5, 2026, a domestic dispute occurred between Jose Nava and the victim. After speaking with the victim, it was determined that Jose Nava committed the offenses of Aggravated Battery Against a Household Member (Strangulation), False Imprisonment, and Battery Against a Household Member. Jose Nava was not located, and an arrest warrant was issued for his arrest.


Case #2026003552 / Unlawful Taking of a Motor Vehicle - Agg Assault / 07/05/2026

Location: 1700 BLK San Ysidro Crossing

Victim: 55 YOM

A hispanic male was oberseved driving the victim's Bobcat and was attempting to change out the attachment. The male was confronted by the owner and subsequently armed himself with a knife. The suspect fled on foot. An older model, Chevy, dually pickup truck, displaying a temproary tag was observed at the location and may have been involved


Case #2026003551 Unattended Death

Commander Entering: Cpl. B. Lattin

Location: Gould Ln, Santa Fe

Decedent: 54 YOA female, Santa Fe

Deputies responded to the location in reference to an assistance with ambulance. Deputies arrived on scene and observed a female not conscious and not breathing. The female was beyond life saving measures. No signs of foul play were located. The Office of the Medical Investigator was contacted and responded to the scene.


2026003540/ Unattended Death/ 7-5-26

Entering: Cpl. J Soriano

Location: Pasada Del Ben - Santa Fe

Deceased: 88 Y/O/M - Santa Fe

Deputies responded to a cardiac arrest, medical staff perfomed lifesaving procedure and considered him deceased. No foul play suspected and next of kin was notified.


2026003539/ Battery Against a Household Member/ 7-5-26

Assigned: Deputy K. Whyte

Entering: Cpl. J Soriano

Location: Valle Duran -Santa Fe

Victim reported a battery occured between her and her significant other. Victim presented injuires consistent with her statement. A warrant was drafted for the suspect.


Case #2026003532 / Aggravated DUI - Open Container / 07/04/2026

Deputy Assigned: J. Silva

Supervisor: Lt. V. Baca

Location: NM-599 / Mile 6

Arrested: Edwin Munoz (19 YOM)

Deputies conducted a welfare check on a vehicle that was stuck in the median. The driver displayed signs of impairment, agreed to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, and provided a breath sample (0.31 / 0.29) He was placed under arrest and booked accordingly.


Case #2026003531 Battery against a household member

Location: Camino Portillo, Santa Fe

Arrested: Allison Artiles, 40 YOA female, Santa Fe

Deputies were dispatched to the location in reference to a domestic disturbance. Deputies were advised the suspect responded to the location to retrieve personal belongings. While doing so, the suspect and victim got into a physical altercation. The suspect battered the victim. The suspect was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility Accordingly.

Location: Camino Del Rincon, Santa Fe

Deceased: 40 YOA male, Santa Fe

Deputies were dispatched to the location in reference to an assistance with ambulance. Deputies arrived on scene and located the decedent. It was determined the male was beyond life saving measures. No signs of foul play were observed. The Office of the Medical Investigator was contacted and responded to the scene. This investigation is ongoing.


Case #2026003529 Receiving or transferring stolen motor vehicle, Warrant

Location: US 84-285/NM 599, Santa Fe

Arrested: Elias Griego, 50 YOA male, Santa Fe

Deputies observed a vehicle traveling southbound on US 84/285. A check through NCIC revealed the vehicle was reported as stolen out of the Santa Fe Police Department. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was taken into custody without incident. The driver was also found to have an active warrant for his arrest. The driver was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility accordingly.

Arrested-Wyatt Cardoso 27YOM (Santa Fe, NM)

Driver was stopped for speeding and agreed to SFST's. Driver showed signed of imapairment and was placed under arrest. Driver was booked into SF ADC with out incident.
