Arrested: James Valdez 34 yoa male (Espanola) & Valentina Archuleta 31 yoa female (Bloomfield)
The above subjects were standing in the middle of the road at about 4:30 a.m., when they were contacted. Mr. Valdez was recognized and had two active warrants out of Rio Arriba Magistrate Court for Unlawful Taking MV & Conspiracy. When he was being placed under arrest, he began to struggle with deputies and refused to put his hands behind his back. He struggled for a few moments before being forcefully placed under arrest. His female companion was also found to have a warrant for her arrest for failing to appear out of Rio Arriba Magistrate Court for traffic offenses. Both were booked into SFADC.

Arrested: Johnny Marquez 49 yoa male Santa Fe
Subject was stopped as he was committing traffic offenses on a bicycle. He was advised to stay off the roadway without lighting equipment as he could be struck by vehicles who don't see him. Upon checking him for warrants, he was found to have an active warrant for failing to appear in the Santa Fe Municipal Court.

Deputies reported to the address for a call for a domestic disturbance. During the investigation, it was discovered the suspect damaged property of her spouse during the dispute. Suspect was arrested and booked without incident.

Victim: 33 YOM
The victim reported that between 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm, while he was attending church, an unknown suspect (s) broke the right rear window of his vehicle. The victim did not observe any of the contents inside the vehicle that were disturbed or missing. There is no further information available at this time.

Elias Atencio has been reported as a missing person, he was last seen (Sunday September 21, 2025 at approximately 6:00 pm. MR. Atencio is 6 '3 slim build approximately 165lbs -175lbs, brown eyes, brown hair. He was last seen wearing tan pants, tan sweater, red vans shoes and grey glasses.

Deputies responded to a medical call at the location. Upon arrival it was discovered the deceased had passed away from natural causes. Deputies determined foul play was not suspect, the Office of the Medical Investigator was contacted the deceased was transported from the scene.

Location- US 84/285 / Viarrial (Pojoaque)
A caller reported a possible drunk driver on US 84/285 northbound from Santa Fe. A vehicle description was given out to law enforcement agencies in the area. Pojoaque PD located the vehicle speeding on US 84/285 and conducted a traffic stop. The driver showed signs of impairment, but was not a Tribal member, so SFSO deputies were called to the scene. Following SFST's, the driver was arrested and transported to the SFSO where she provided a breath sample that was at or above a .16 BRAC. She was later booked at the SF ADC.

Arrested- Angelo Melendez (22 year old male/ Rio Rancho)
Location- Buffalo Thunder Resort and Casino
Deputies were dispatched to Buffalo Thunder in reference to a domestic dispute. Upon arrival deputies conducted an investigation, and learned that Mr. Melendez had committed a battery on the victim (a household member). He was placed under arrest and later booked at the SF ADC.

Arrested: Jasmine Padilla (Espanola NM)
SFRECC received a call about a vehicle being driven recklessly. A bolo was given to the Pojoaque Police. They located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. When they determined the driver was not a tribal member, they contacted the Sheriff's Office to assume the investigation. The investigation revealed the driver was impaired. She was arrested and taken to the Sheriff's Office where she provided a breath samples of .17 &.19. She was booked into SFADC.

Arrested: Sanford Fahie, 51 YOM
Deputies made contact with the subject during a traffic stop. The subject had an active warrant for his arrest out of the Santa Fe County Magistrate Court. The warrant was for failure to appear on no driver's license and no insurance charges. The subject was arrested and booked into Santa Fe ADC without incident.
