At about 2:00 a.m., SFRECC began receiving multiple 911 calls about a vehicle driving the wrong way on Interstate 25 near the 288. At about the 280 Mile Post the vehicle was located and stopped. The driver admitted to drinking a "buzz ball" and advised that she was lost. She also believed she was in Moriarty. SFST's were conducted and several signs of impairment were noted. She was arrested and refused to provided a breath sample. She was booked into SFADC without incident.

Arrested: Jonovan Romero 28 yoa male
Subject was identified during a traffic stop and found to have two active warrants for his arrest out of Santa Fe Magistrate Court and Santa Fe Municipal Court. He was arrested and booked without incident,

Deputies were dispatched to the residence due to the victims wife calling in advising her husband was unconscious. Life saving measures were performed, but unsuccessful. There were no signs of foul play.
Case #2025006569 // Arson - 11/7/2025

Suspect: Harvey Arellano (40 YO)
Deputies responded to the address due to a structure fire. It was determined there were two points of origin for the fire inside the residence, and fire marshalls were called to investigate. Suspect was determined to be the one to light the fires. Later in the evening, Deputies got called back to the residence due to it being on fire again from the suspect returning. Case is currently under investigation.
Case #2025006580 / Burglary - Criminal Damage / 11/08/2025

Damaged: 2020 Chevy 2500 (white)
Deputies responded to a call for service in reference to a damaged and abandoned vehicle. The registered owner advised they parked the vehicle at the location between 11:00 pm and 12:00 am on 11/7-11/8 due to transmission issues. It was discovered several components were removed and the vehicle was damaged.
Case#2025006578 DWI, Fail to maintain lanes 11-08-25

Subject was stopped after the vehicle she was operating was observed being unable to maintain their traffic lane. After contact was made, the driver admitted to drinking two beers and consuming marijuana. SFST's were conducted and the subject was arrested. A legal blood draw was conducted and the results are pending. The subject was taken to SFADC where she was booked without further incident.
