Arrested: Matthew Esparza (34 YOM)
Deputies received a call regarding a wrong-way driver. A vehicle matching the description was located and a traffic stop followed. Mr. Esparza was uncooperative and refused to exit the vehicle. Mr. Esparza eventually exited his vehicle but became uncooperative with commands. He was subsequently taken into custody and booked accordingly.

Arrested: Martin Martinez (41 YOM)
Deputies conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle for a traffic infraction. It was discovered Mr. Martinez was operating the vehicle while his license was revoked. Mr. Martinez was unable to provide proof of insurance or vehicle registration. He was placed under arrest and booked accordingly.

Arrested: Mia Quintana, 44 YOF
On Wednesday, February 18, 2026, deputies were patrolling the above area when they conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. During the stop, contact was made with the above suspect. It was discovered she had an active bench warrant for her arrest. She was placed under arrest and she was transported to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility. There, she was booked accordingly and without incident.

Arrested: Fernando Ramos-Rodriguez, 53 YOM
On Wednesday, February 18, 2026, deputies were patrolling the above area when they conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. During the stop, contact was made with the above suspect. It was discovered he had an active bench warrant for his arrest. He was placed under arrest and he was transported to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility. There, he was booked accordingly and without incident.

Deputies responded in reference to a male who was not conscious and not breathing. OMI was summoned to the scene. Based off of available evidence, foul play is not suspected. This case remains under investigation.
Case #2026001015 - 1016/ Possession of a Controlled Substance - Warrant Service / 02/17/2026

Deputies responded to a call for service in reference to assiting another agency. It was discovered Mr. Surianoarana had an active warrant for his arrest. After he was placed in custody, Mr. Surianoarana advised that he was in possession of cocaine. The substance was located and Mr. Surianoarana was booked accordingly.

Additional Charges: Child Abuse x2, Roadways Laned for Traffic
On Tuesday, February 17, 2026, deputies responded to the above area for a report of a reckless driver. Upon arrival, deputies located a vehicle matching the description. The vehicle was traveling well below the posted speed limit and was unable to maintain its lane of travel. A traffic stop was conducted and contact was made with the above driver. The driver displayed signs of impairment and subsequently placed under arrest after SFSTs were administered. The driver was advised of the NM Implied Consent Advisory and she agreed to chemical testing. She was transported to the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office and there, she provided breath samples that were more than twice the legal limit. She was later booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

Arrested: Zayra Lupercio, 25 YOF
On Tuesday, February 17, 2026, deputies responded to the above area for a report of a hit and run crash. The other victim in the case was able to locate the above suspect, who's vehicle had become disabled near the above area. Contact was made with the driver and she displayed signs of impairment. SFSTs were administered and she was subsequently placed under arrest. The NM Implied Consent Advisory was read and she agreed to chemical testing. The driver was transported to the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office and she provided two breath samples, which were more than twice the legal limit. She was later booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

On Tuesday, February 17, 2026, deputies responded to the above area in reference to a male who was not conscious and not breathing. Family and first responders administered life-saving measures, but the male could not be revived. OMI was summoned to the scene. Based off of available evidence, it appears the death was of natural causes and foul play is not suspected. This case remains under investigation.
