Deputies were called to assist Pojoaque PD with a traffic stop due to the driver having a revoked drivers license due to a prior DUI. Deputies made contact and also discoverd the vehicle had expired registration, and the driver had an active warrant for failure to pay fines on the original charge of aggravated DUI. Driver was arrested.

Arrested- Luis Olivas (40 year old male/ Santa Fe)
Deputies were on a call for service and were speaking to the individuals on the call. Upon speaking with Luis Olivas, it was discovered that he had a warrant for absconding from Probation/Parole. Luis was arrested on the warrant and booked at ADC.

Deputies took a report for a dump trailer that was stolen May 26, 2025. Case is currently under investigation.
Case #2025003316 // Unattended Death - 6/4/2025

Deceased: 85 YO Female
Deputies were dispatched to the residence in reference to a female who was not conscious/breathing, and CPR was in progress. Life saving measure were performed, but unsuccessful. Victim had declining health and was said to be in the process of getting into hospice care. There were no signs of foul play.
Case #2025003310 / Aggravated DUI / 06/04/2025

Arrrested: Gabriel Luna (22 YOM)
Deputies responded to a call for service in reference to an intoxicated male leaving an Allsups convenience store. The vehicle was located and observed operating below the posted speed limit. The vehicle came to a stop prior to law enforcement intervention. The driver performed SFST's and it was determined he was impaired. A breath test was administered. The results were nearly three times over the legal limit. The male was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility.

A welfare check was conducted on an individual walking along the road with a blanket. it was discovered the male had two active warrants. He was treated at a local medical facility for injuries he sustained months prior and subsequently booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility.

Arrested- Stephen Garcia (36 year old male/ Ohkay Owingeh
Location- El Llano Rd (Espanola)
Deputies were dispatched to the location in reference to a suspicious vehicle in the middle of the road. Deputies arrived and located the vehicle in the middle of the roadway, with the driver passed out behind the wheel. After waking the driver up, he showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest. Drug paraphernalia was located in plain view, next to the driver. He was booked at ADC.

A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle for a traffic infraction. Upon contact with the occupants, it was discovered that one of the occupants had an outstanding warrant. He was arrested on the warrant and booked at ADC.

A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle for a driving infraction. Upon contact with the driver, it was learned that he had a revoked driver's license due to a previous DUI. The driver also had two outstanding warrants. He was arrested and booked at ADC.
Case 2025003254/ Agg Battery on HHM w/deadly weapon, Agg DWI, Reckless driving/6-2-25

Arrested: Nicholas Garcia, 43 YOM
Deputies responded to a report of a reckless driver. The caller advised that he was being followed by FEDEX truck being driven by his ex. The victim advised that his vehicle was sideswiped multiple times by the truck and was attempting to get away. Deputies were able to stop the suspect vehicle and detain the driver. The driver showed signs of impairment and was arrested. The driver submitted to a breath test resulting in .18/.20. The subject was booked into Satna Fe ADC without incident.
